My name is Alamein Hollis

My path as a Natural Holistic Healer began when I was young. The energy I carry and work with, was not taught in a classroom; it was felt, lived, and remembered. This innate knowing is one of the things that makes my work unique. Healing, for me, has always been less about technique and more about presence, intuition, and listening deeply to what cannot be spoken.

Alongside this calling, I have currently spent 27 years working within the dental industry. This grounded, professional foundation led me to become Self Employed & a lifetime member of the New Zealand Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Association, allowing me to now offer Cosmetic Teeth Whitening at affordable prices as part of my wider healing practice. It is another way I support people to feel confident, cared for, and seen.

Whenever I have felt a strong desire to learn a new modality—such as Ceremonial Tattooing—the universe has always met me halfway. The right teachers, opportunities, and guides appeared exactly when they were meant to. Each skill gained has not been for ego or achievement, but so I may devote my time to supporting others through healing, transformation, and self-expression.

My mahi is a blend of intuitive hands-on and energetic practices, bodywork, and ritual.  All sessions are offered on a one-to-one, appointment-only basis, allowing each person to receive my full presence, care, and intention within a calm and unrushed environment. 

Maitreyah’s Healing Studio is infused with the calm and grounding presence of Buddhas. While I am not religious, I deeply appreciate the energy they bring into the space—an energy of stillness, compassion, and balance.

The studio is named in honour of my beautiful long-haired sable Chihuahua, Maitreyah, which  in Sanskrit means " Loving Kindness" who was 14 years old when he passed over on 18 March 2025 due to a heart condition. Like anyone who has loved an animal, I miss him more than words can express. Naming the studio after him allows his presence to live on and feels deeply right for me. It is a tribute to unconditional love, loyalty, and the quiet strength animals bring into our lives.

Maitreyah’s Healing Studio is a place of safety, connection, and transformation. It is a space where people are welcomed exactly as they are and where healing unfolds gently, at its own pace.

Together—the energy of Maitreyah, myself, and every client who walks through the door—we co-create a magical, successful, and positively charged space. A place where people experience a session once and feel inspired to share it with their friends and whānau, so everyone can enjoy accessible, heart-led natural healthcare.
